Traditional East Asian Medicine = Proven Effective Medicine
- The World Health Organization recognizes more than 40 diseases that can be treated with acupuncture.
- Recent large-scale studies published in the British Medical Journal report that acupuncture is an effective adjunct treatment for chronic low back pain, osteoarthritis and tension headaches.
- The American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) recently revised its new evidence-based Occupational Medicine Practice Guidelines with more than 200 recommendations for chronic pain, including acupuncture for the treatment of chronic to severe neck pain, chronic trigger points/myofascial pain, chronic low back pain, and osteoarthrosis.

Did You Know T.E.A.M. is more than just acupuncture?
Traditional East Asian Medicine incorporates a variety of practices tested by over 2,000 years of clinical experience and in the modern laboratory.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine needles into various points on the body. These points are selected by trained professionals according to the nature of an illness and its relationship to the acupuncture meridians. These meridians cover the body from head to toe and allow a practitioner to treat illnesses with a variety of point combinations and with minimal disrobing.
Bodywork is an important modality in T.E.A.M. that uses meridian theory to provide structural release and stress reduction. There are several forms of bodywork such as Shiatsu, Tuina and reflexology.
Herbal medicine is an essential therapy for both internal disorders and external injuries. In T.E.A.M., herbs are used in functional groups to amplify treatment effects. Many of the herbs are also foods and can be utilized in dietary therapy.
